Coverage

Pennsylvania documents: disclosure PI-60362PA (08/26), amendatory endorsement PI-50810 (09/24) issued by Westchester Fire Insurance Company, and the Westchester sample policy LD-50812 (07/18). The disclosure says the insurer is ACE American, Indemnity Insurance Company of North America or Westchester Fire, as the declarations page shows. No waiting period for accidents; 15 days for illness and for orthopedic conditions other than hip dysplasia; 30 days for hip dysplasia; the wait is waived after a complete clinical exam. Hip dysplasia is never covered for pets enrolled at 6 or older. The Pennsylvania endorsement says a pet under 6 should have had an exam in the 12 months before or 15 days after the start, a pet 6 or older in the 30 days before or 15 days after, to speed up claims; it drops the base policy's rule that a missing exam may void the policy. Exam fees are not covered. Premiums do not depend on your own pet's claims, but may change with the claims of the whole program in your region, location, breed and age, and for all policyholders with veterinary costs (60 days' notice). The limit is a lifetime limit per pet.
