Figo Pet Insurance Pennsylvania Review
Figo is administered by Figo Pet Insurance, LLC and underwritten in Pennsylvania by Independence American Insurance Company.
Coverage
Pennsylvania disclosure and sample policy IAIC FPI POL PA 0424, underwritten by Independence American Insurance Company. Waiting periods: none for accidents, 14 days for illness, 30 days for orthopedic illness. To waive them, a vet must examine the pet within 7 days of the start date and the vet's form must reach Figo within 7 days of the effective date. Knee and ligament conditions count as bilateral: any knee problem before the start or during the wait excludes both knees. A type of cancer diagnosed before the start or during the wait is excluded. A curable pre-existing condition is covered again after 365 days without symptoms or treatment. Raising cover is allowed only at renewal and restarts the waiting period from that date; other mid-term changes issue a new policy with new waiting periods and a new pre-existing check. The deductible drops $50 for each claim-free year but returns to its original amount after any paid claim. Premiums may rise with age and location, not with claims.
