Embrace Pet Insurance New Jersey Review
Embrace is underwritten in New Jersey by American Modern Home Insurance Company.
Coverage
The state regulator lists Embrace under American Modern Home Insurance Company. For New Jersey, Embrace's website shows its generic policy terms (v6), the same as for Florida: a 14-day illness wait, a lifetime exclusion for four canine orthopedic conditions (cruciate ligament disease, disc disease, patellar luxation and hip dysplasia) that show signs in the first 180 days, accident-only cover until a vet exam, and a 15-day free look. Raising coverage at any time restarts the illness wait and the pre-existing check. New Jersey law will require a 30-business-day free look and caps orthopedic waits at 30 days from 1 January 2027; a lifetime exclusion is not a waiting period, and the law does not limit exclusions. We have not read a New Jersey policy form or rate filing.

- Added BBB and Trustpilot ratings checked on 13 October 2026
- Corrected the age rule: accident-only enrollment at 15 and older appears only in the guidelines filed with pending 26-812. Moved the Florida rate filings to unverified because their direction is not public. Corrected the Claim History ages, the 2022 accident-only example, the 60-day cancellation clause and the Florida group attribution
