Figo Pet Insurance Texas Review
Figo is administered by Figo Pet Insurance, LLC and underwritten in Texas by Independence American Insurance Company.
Coverage
Texas policy form (Independence American, file IAIC_FPI_POL_AI_TX_1025_ForIssue_021326): waiting periods of 1 day for accident injuries, 14 days for illness and 6 months for orthopedic conditions in dogs, including fractures from an accident; an Orthopedic Waiver Form after a vet exam within 30 days removes the orthopedic wait, and a separate waiver form covers the other waits. Cured conditions are covered again after 365 days; genetic, knee, orthopedic and chronic conditions never count as cured. Premiums may rise at renewal with age and veterinary cost inflation. Coverage can be raised only at renewal, with a new waiting period. The deductible drops $50 for each claim-free year and resets after a paid claim. Coverage stops after three similar repeat incidents, and a type of cancer diagnosed before the policy is never covered. Texas rates are not filed.
