Pets Best Pet Insurance Texas Review
Pets Best is administered by Pets Best Insurance Services, LLC and underwritten in Texas by Independence American Insurance Company.
Coverage
Texas sample IAIC-PB10001-ILL (Independence American): waiting periods of 3 days for injuries, 14 days for illness and 6 months for cruciate ligament events; Florida's version has 0, 14 and 30 days. A participating vet's health certificate can reduce or waive them. Raising the annual limit or adding exam-fee, prescription or rehab cover means cancelling and buying a new policy, with new waiting periods and a new pre-existing check. Premiums do not change with your own claims but can change with your address. Exclusions include a repeat of the same activity twice in 18 months (counting time before the policy) and another occurrence of the same type of cancer. Annual limits $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 or none; deductible $50 to $2,000; reimbursement 50% to 90%. Texas rates are not filed.
